Experienced and well trained, Sandy is enthusiastic about working together with clients to achieve change. She creates a safe and supportive environment for adult individuals, couples, and families. Areas of expertise include relationship concerns (including LGBTQ), trauma, anxiety and depression, loss and grief, and serious illness.
Treatment approaches are tailored to client needs and style. She listens intently with compassion and without judgment. Sandy builds on client strengths and exceptions to difficulties. Identifying patterns of behavior and gaining insights into problems leads to strategies for achieving client goals. Expect success! Sandy received a Master's Degree (MSW) in 1992 from UWM, with a specialty in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Trauma Counseling Certification in 1994. In 2010, Sandy completed a Master's program at Family Therapy and Training Institute, earning licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). In 2014, she was certified as a Grief Support Specialist. An eager learner, she continues to avail herself of educational opportunities.
