Phyllis Lardinois is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Fellow in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists. She is the recipient of the 2015 Marquette University Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology Achievement Award. A former teacher and school counselor with over 30 years of experience working with children and families, Phyllis uses a strength-based, collaborative, and solution-focused approach in her work. She enjoys working with children, adults, couples, and families. Grief support, parenting support/education, post-divorce adjustment, healing trauma, bullying interventions, and school staff support are areas of expertise and interest.
Phyllis is a graduate of The Family Therapy Training Institute at Aurora Family Service. She has a Master's Degree from Marquette University, a Certificate in Trauma Counseling from UW-Milwaukee.
Phyllis is a faculty member at the Family Therapy Training Institute and a former adjunct professor at Carroll University. Her extensive experience includes curriculum development and training in personal safety, parenting strategies, bullying prevention/intervention and trauma-informed approaches. Phyllis has been a presenter for conferences, Parents United of Waukesha County, Parents Place of Waukesha, and several area schools.
Phyllis serves on the Boards of Parents Place and the Waukesha C.A.R.E. Center and previously served on Waukesha Education Foundation Board. She is a member of the Trauma-Informed Care Partnership of Waukesha County and the Waukesha County Drug-Free Communities Coalition.
