Emmy is a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and adults. With over 18 years of experience working in residential treatment and in-home behavior treatment, Emmy has exceptional experience with individuals diagnosed with a wide range of mental health disorders and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, and behavior disorders. Her special interests include treating trauma, providing behavior treatment, play therapy, working with individuals with developmental disabilities, couples and family therapy.
Emmy approaches each client uniquely with enthusiasm, empathy, and dignity. She uses several treatment modalities and a variety of client centered therapeutic approaches to help the client identify and understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. She utilizes a strength based and solution focused treatment strategy to empower the client and facilitate change.
Emmy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from Concordia University.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, gardening, cooking, art, and reading.
